Equality Statement
Valuing Everyone, Growing Together
At All Saints Church of England Primary School, our Christian vision — “Valuing Everyone, Growing Together” — shapes all that we do. We are a nurturing and inclusive community where Christian values are at the heart of learning and life. Every child is seen as a unique individual, valued and loved by God, and encouraged to grow “from a tiny spark into a great fire” (2 Timothy 1:6–7).
In living out this vision, we are committed to ensuring that every member of our school family feels respected, included, and supported to flourish. Under the Equality Act 2010, we have a legal and moral duty to demonstrate compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty, which aligns closely with our Christian responsibility to love and serve others.
Our general duties relating to equality are to:
Eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation, and any other conduct prohibited by the Act.
Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not.
Foster good relations between people who share protected characteristics and those who do not.
We recognise the nine protected characteristics under the Equality Act. We will not discriminate against, harass, or victimise any pupil, prospective pupil, parent, staff member, or visitor because of their race, disability, sex, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, or gender reassignment.
